Nascar - Car Racing Engines Finest

NASCAR is one of the biggest and most significant racing championships in the world. Established in the late ’40s, NASCAR stands for National Stock Car Racing, and back in the day, the cars which were racing were really stock and based on the models you could buy at the dealers. However, fast forward several decades later, and today’s NASCAR racers only resemble the production cars. They have complete custom-built chassis, motors, and the rest of the vehicles, which don’t have anything to do with the model it represents. In order to standardize the technology. Car racing repairs is an ongoing effort. These cars require a lot of service and expertise to keep them perfroming well. The car racing repair shop industry is a robust and necessary part of racing and car motorsports history. Race cars do not have doors, so participants must have the ability to climb into the cock pit of the NASCAR race car thru the window. Passengers for Ride Along must be a minimum of 5 ft. Tall and 100 lbs. Under 18 years must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign a parental consent form. Please ask if you need assistance and we are happy to help.

For many entry-level automotive aficionados, the use of a Ford engine alongside some of Europe’s most formidable race platforms might seem a bit odd. It’s true; the company certainly supplied its wares to teams and vehicles outside of the US, and in some cases, they became fairly dominant in their respective areas. The Ford Cosworth DFV V8, for example, helped to solidify Team Lotus’ name within the world of F1 — and today, the engine is still recognized as one of the primary catalysts for car culture during the era.

Another odd but interesting inclusion on our list is none other than the Honda RA line. While it might seem a bit uncanny, the company’s RA167E V6 and RA168E turbo were at the height of their prominence during the 1980s’ Formula One seasons, where they could be found in various high-end vehicles prior to the FIA’s ban on forced induction models. One of the most prolific teams to use the engine was McLaren. No other engine has been as dominant as the mighty Offenhauser engine. In a racing series where innovation was applauded and teams looked at every aspect of engine design to gain an edge, Offy engines managed to stay at the top, compiling an unmatched record of wins in open wheel oval track racing.

Newer Engines Companies

Kistler Engines was established in 1993 and builds lightweight, high performance racing engines with a commitment to quality. We pride ourselves in high tech, innovative designs, producing highly competitive engines for sprint cars (410 c.i., 360 c.i. & 305 c.i.), as well as, late models & midgets. Kistler Engines has also earned a great reputation for our service among professional race teams due to our quick turnaround time on rebuilds. Whether your engine is naturally aspirated, or you run nitrous, or a supercharger or turbo, our cams make more horsepower than any other.Fuel Air Spark Technology is the authority in engine control electronics. Rally Cars

A rally car’s basic idea is to use a regular production vehicle (most commonly a compact hatchback) and turn it into the blisteringly fast machine for driving on gravel, mud, tarmac, or snow. Please note that rally cars are not full-blown off-road racers; they are designed to be used on the roads but in challenging conditions and far less ideal than the race cars driven on the circuits.Rally cars are almost always equipped with all-wheel-drive trains, sequential gearboxes, custom-made suspension, and the most advanced safety equipment to cope with such challenging conditions. Contrary to other racing cars, where there is space for only one person (driver) in rally cars, there are two seats for the driver and co-driver. Co-driver’s job is to navigate the driver reading the road map (the itinerary) since the rally racing is held on the public roads (closed, of course), unknown to the driver.

Rallying involves production vehicles. Back in the 1970s and 1980s, if you had a Camaro Rally Sport, you knew you had a cool car. Certain cars are designed to drive fast. These races take part on closed tracks or even on public roads. They are not really overseen by any certain association or group. Most of these races take place in small towns where people are into fixing and racing cars. They don’t have major sponsors and don’t really travel all that far for races.

Sprint Car Engines - Where it All Starts

One of the most important components to building a highly competitive, well-running, reliable motor is the cylinder heads. They require a great deal of technical design to achieve and maintain a HP edge. They are required to be an All Pro or Brodix “spec” 305 head to compete in 305 series racing. Fuel Injection Systems or fuel injections are used. Butterfly size is limited to 2 3/16″ maximum.

These cars are seen all over the country on every Friday and Saturday night on dirt tracks. The most common engines are small block Ford, Chevy and Dodge models. Probably the most common is the Chevy 327 and 350 cubic inch power plants. Of course these are all souped up and modified with high performance cam shafts, fuel injection and high compression pistons. The heads all have oversize valves and they are loud.

Japanese Cars - A Long Time Favorite for Engine Tuning

Experience building engines that can handle the rigors of racing means that you must know what it takes to build a reliable engine that performs to its full potential. Whether you are doing a simple stock rebuild, looking to build a hot street engine, or you want a full-blown competition engine. Japanese cars are pretty much the ones that tuners love to play around with, and the Toyota Supra is one of them. With an upgraded downpipe, you have a lot more power. Toyota Supra is no doubt a powerful car, but if you want to tune it for performance, replacing the stock downpipe is a must.Turbochargers. Whether you are doing a simple stock rebuild, looking to build a hot street engine, or you want a full-blown competition engine.
